Here's Our Sign!

from the west

This was a great week for us at Off the Vine.  Sometimes it is the little things, that aren't really so little, that just make a day or a week.  First off, on Thursday the twenty-first, our sign arrived.  Have to give a big plug to NC Signs out of Siler City for bringing the talented Shannon Chapman's artwork to life and reality.  Both did an incredible job of creating just what we wanted.

No missing Off the Vine now!

Thursday was also Downtown Liberty's Third Thursday Block Party.  We took advantage of the opportunity to debut our new Corn Hole Game Set.  A huge thank you to the master carpentry skills of Clay Morgan and the artistic talent of Edi Smith for creating this masterpiece for us.  (Now our "staff" just needs to get in a lot more practice.)  Drop in Saturday night for a round or two while enjoying our $2.00 beer specials.

And one of the biggest delights of the twenty-first was a phone call from Matt with news that he has been promoted to Sargent.  As most know, he is in Afghanistan and we are counting down the days until he arrives back on American soil the first weeks of August.  His very proud Mom, Robin or his doting aunt Debbie will be glad to tell you about our soldier.

Independence Day - Liberty Style

Join us on July 9th to celebrate Independence Day.  Another great block party is planned for the streets of downtown Liberty.

At Off the Vine we will be doing our party to carry on the red, white and blue with tastings of Duplin's Sunset Red, Beaufort Bay and their brand new Blueberry wine.  We will also be breaking out Chateau Morrisette's  Independence and Liberty Service Dog wines.

Also on "tap" will be the new slushies, in both "spirited" and "non-spirited" offerings.

Learning to Play Cornhole

On June 25th, the Off the Vine staff had its first lesson in the game of Cornhole.

Planning for upcoming tournaments with proceeds going to help with the Merchants Division of the Chamber of Commerce Promotions Fund.

And a good time was had by all
